Comments from an almost 40 year veteran of type 1 diabetes
I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in February of '69... almost 40 years ago. I have a wonderful wife and am the father of two awesome young men. I wear a Minimed Paradigm 511 pump. My goal is to receive the Joslin 75-year Medal while remaining complication free... unless, of course, a cure is found first.
I finally took a few minutes to convert to Blogger Beta and it was amazing quick and simple. (Murphy must have been looking the other way!) I probably won't look at all the cool new features till after the New Year rolls in, but it will be nice to comment on blogs again.

My blogger migration was transparent too.
BTW, I am not sure if you were aware of this piece of news. I am a type I diabetic as well, on a Minimed pump too. I figured you -like me- would be excited about the news.

manny - Thanks for bringing this to my attention. It has created quite a stir in the DOC as you are probably aware. I've been playing the D game quite awhile so I'm not going to get too worked up over this, but will continue to follow it nonetheless.
I haven't read Amy's book yet, but look forward to it when things slow down a bit.
