Frustration
I've been attempting to leave comments on other blogs for a couple of days without much success. I've tried using not only my standard browser - IE7, but also Firefox but neither is successful so I guess the only thing to try is to upgrade to the new blogger. I was trying to put this off for awhile as Murphy tends to jump up and insert himself in these situations, but if I'm going to continue to be a part of the blogging community it looks like now is the time for action.
If I'm down for a while you'll know I'm merely having a long chat with Murphy!

I've had the same damn problems. Although, I'm more likely to switch over to WordPress than continue on with blogger.

What kind of problems were you seeing?
On some blogs, I've found that I had to use my GMail account logon. While on others [such as yours] I could continue to use my Blogger account details.
I think that the former are blogs that have converted over to the new blogger version.
So you may be able to solve the problem by simply getting a Google mail account.
I use the same "username" part for both my blog and my gmail account. In many cases, I'm having to log in these days using "skjohn8@gmail.com" rather than being able to just put "skjohn8" like I used to do.
So, I think it's something going on with the "back end" system that they are using - but who knows.
I'm still not switching to Beta yet. No time to transition and I'm worried something will break.
I'm with Keith. I've done the switch and now I'm looking wordpress and considering if the grass really is greener. Either way, if you're all still on blogger and using beta, my biggest issue will still, in fact, be an issue.

MinNice had the same problems, and I think everyone still on beta is having these problems! I am SO happy I immediately switched when I set up my blog! Good luck.

I haven't had any problems with beta.
Once you're converted to beta, the only thing is to log in immediately before you start leaving comments.....that will solve any problems you might have that Bernard mentioned.
Keith, I had a problem commenting on other blogs too. But, now I can comment again. I didn't switch. Call me stubborn, but I'm perfectly happy doing things the old way.
