Comments from an almost 40 year veteran of type 1 diabetes
I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in February of '69... almost 40 years ago. I have a wonderful wife and am the father of two awesome young men. I wear a Minimed Paradigm 511 pump. My goal is to receive the Joslin 75-year Medal while remaining complication free... unless, of course, a cure is found first.
My wife came into my office Saturday afternoon, her voice trembling and said simply, "They found them...".
It's been a tough year in West Virginia. Let's not forget to thank them everytime we turn up the heat or turn on the lights.

Sad what has been happening. I like the comic though.
Glad to hear the 72 Canadian miners made it out alive. Looks like we've some things to learn from them. Yeah, I like the comic too!
